A cracked iPad screen, a battery that dies by lunchtime or a charging port that no longer grips the cable are all common tablet problems, and plenty of Singapore phone shops now say they will look at them. This list keeps to providers whose own websites explicitly mention iPad or tablet repair, rather than phones only. Some handle Apple tablets alone, while others also take Samsung Galaxy Tab and other Android models. Each entry summarises what the provider itself publishes, so check the current terms, parts grade and warranty with the shop before you hand over a device, and back up your data first.

1. iDevice Repair Centre

iDevice Repair Centre publishes a long iPad repair page that explains why tablets are harder than phones: glass bonded to the frame with heated adhesive, laminated display assemblies on newer models and, on Pro versions, Face ID hardware in the assembly. It lists cracked glass, dead touch strips, battery wear, swollen cells and charging-port faults, with turnarounds quoted in days rather than hours, and a separate iPad motherboard page for charging-circuit and board-level work. The site says diagnosis is free on a walk-in, you get the price in writing before any work, and you pay no repair fee if it cannot fix the device. It also covers backing up before a repair. The workshop is in the Tai Seng area on weekdays.

2. RepairX

RepairX lists iPad repair and tablet repair next to its laptop, MacBook and smartphone services, with screen, battery and motherboard work named on its homepage. It is mainly a computer repairer, so ask whether your tablet model and fault are handled in-house. Its contact page names a Central outlet at International Plaza and a North outlet at Woods Square in Woodlands, open daily except public holidays, with a WhatsApp number for enquiries. The homepage advertises free islandwide and on-site pickup and a warranty range of 30 to 180 days, so ask which period applies to your repair. Its footer carries a 2024 date, so message first to confirm it is trading before you travel.

3. Mister Mobile

Mister Mobile is a multi-branch repair brand whose site has dedicated pages for tablets as well as phones. Its Samsung tablet section covers the Galaxy Tab S and Tab A ranges, and the site also lists tablets from Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, OPPO and OnePlus, along with iPads and Microsoft Surface devices. Repair categories shown include screen replacement, battery replacement and charging-port work, with motherboard and water-damage repair mentioned as well. Its branch directory lists outlets spread across the island, from Ang Mo Kio and Bedok to Bugis, Jurong, Tampines and Woodlands, which makes it one of the easier options to reach if you live outside the city centre. Confirm your exact tablet model and the warranty for your repair with the branch.

4. Mobile Life

Mobile Life describes itself as an independent repair shop operating in Singapore since 2006, and it keeps a dedicated Samsung tablet repair collection on its website. The collection names Galaxy Tab S models from the S2 up to the S9, Tab A models and Tab FE devices, alongside iPad and iPhone repair. Services shown include LCD replacement, battery replacement, charging-port repair, back-glass replacement, motherboard repair and water-damage cleaning. The site says it publishes its prices openly, offers free diagnostics and gives a warranty it calls the ML100 Guarantee, and it also advertises islandwide delivery for a flat fee. It lists four outlets, in Queenstown, Serangoon, Bishan and Yishun, which suits Android tablet owners.

5. LYK Repair

LYK Repair presents itself as an independent repair provider and says it has operated since 2014. Its iPad page covers the standard iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad Pro lines, listing screen replacement, battery replacement, charging-port repair, speaker repair, water-damage repair and motherboard work. The site also mentions Samsung Galaxy Tab services such as screen, back-glass and camera-lens replacement, so Android tablet owners are not left out. LYK says it is not affiliated with Apple and describes using genuine parts for eligible models or quality-tested alternatives for others, which is worth asking about when you get a quote. It lists branches in Jurong East, Tai Seng, Woodlands and Bugis, open daily, and says common repairs are often finished the same day.

6. BreakFixNow

BreakFixNow runs a dedicated iPad repair page that covers the standard iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad Pro, and the same site has a separate menu entry for Galaxy Tab repair. Its list of iPad services includes screen replacement, battery replacement, charging-port repair, motherboard repair, water-damage repair and data recovery. The page says most common jobs take one to two hours, while motherboard work can run to a few days, and it describes a warranty on parts and labour. The brand presents itself as an independent third-party shop rather than an Apple-authorised one. It names branches at Bugis, Bedok, Jurong East and Ang Mo Kio, with daily opening hours posted, so there is a walk-in option in most regions.

7. myhalo

myhalo, which its site describes as a brand of the PC Dreams Group, has a tablet repair page that explicitly covers both Apple iPads and Samsung Galaxy Tab devices. The services it lists include screen and digitiser replacement, battery replacement, charging-port repair, data recovery and transfer, software troubleshooting and motherboard diagnostics. It also publishes an online estimate tool and takes booking requests through WhatsApp. Unlike walk-in shops that quote same-day fixes, the page states a typical turnaround of several working days and a ninety-day warranty subject to terms, so it suits people who can leave the tablet with the shop. It lists two outlets, at Bugis Junction and Sim Lim Square, and says its repair processes are ISO 9001 certified.

8. Citri Mobile

Citri Mobile is a walk-in repair brand that runs a dedicated Samsung tablet repair page alongside its Apple coverage, which includes iPads and MacBooks. Its site also names a long list of Android phone brands, so it is a sensible stop if the household has a mix of devices to fix. The Samsung tablet page advertises a warranty range of thirty to one hundred days, which its site says varies with the repair carried out, so ask which tier applies to your job. The brand says it is an Apple Independent Repair Provider and states that it is CaseTrust accredited. It lists four branches, in Chinatown, Tampines, Yishun and Jurong Point, each taking walk-ins without booking.

9. Esmond Service Centre

Esmond Service Centre is a computer and Apple device repairer whose iPad page covers the standard iPad, Air, mini and Pro lines, including recent M-series models. The page lists screen and digitiser replacement, battery replacement, charging-port repair, motherboard repair, camera and speaker work, water damage and iOS troubleshooting. Its site says it is an Apple Independent Repair Provider, offers free diagnostics, and quotes a ninety-day repair warranty, with simple screen and battery jobs usually done within a couple of hours and logic-board work taking longer. It does not list non-Apple tablets, so it fits iPad owners best. Its two sites are in the Alexandra Road area and at Midview City near Sin Ming, and it closes on Sundays.

10. Certified Phone Repair SG

Certified Phone Repair SG publishes a standalone iPad repair page listing screen replacement, battery service, LCD fixes, motherboard repair, button and camera replacement and water-damage restoration. It says it uses genuine Apple parts or high-grade OEM equivalents, and describes its technicians as accredited, though the site does not tie that word to an Apple programme, so ask what it means. The page quotes quick turnarounds for screens and batteries, and a three-month warranty on at least some display repairs; confirm what applies to your model. It lists a counter at Westgate in Jurong East that opens daily from late morning to evening, and other pages on the site mention further outlets. The iPad page does not mention Android tablets.

How to choose

  • Check that the shop names your exact tablet. A page that lists iPad Pro or Galaxy Tab S models is more reassuring than a generic claim to fix everything, and Android tablets in particular vary a lot. Send the model number from Settings before visiting, and ask whether parts are in stock or must be ordered in.
  • Ask what grade of screen or battery is being fitted. Providers describe parts in different ways, from genuine to OEM or quality-tested, and the choice can affect brightness, touch response and battery life. Request that the quote and the part type be written down before the repair starts.
  • Be wary of the word authorised. Several shops here say they are independent or an Apple Independent Repair Provider, which is not the same as an Apple Authorised Service Provider. If warranty cover or the manufacturer's service coverage matters, check with Apple or Samsung and read what the shop says.
  • Compare turnaround and warranty in writing. Screens and batteries are often quoted as same-day jobs, while motherboard faults and water damage take longer and may be priced after diagnosis. Ask what the warranty covers, how long it lasts, and whether it applies to the part, labour or both.
  • Back up and prepare the tablet before you hand it over. Save photos and files to the cloud or a computer, sign out of Find My or Google accounts if the shop asks, and note any existing cracks or damage. Ask whether a data wipe is possible during repair, and keep your receipt.
