AI image by LocalRankApplying for an MBA or a master's abroad usually means sitting the GMAT or the GRE, and Singapore has a small but varied field of providers that prepare candidates for them. Some run scheduled group classes, some sell self-paced online courses, some focus on private coaching, and a few simply match you with an independent tutor. This guide lists seven providers whose own sites describe GMAT or GRE preparation, with a plain summary of what each says it offers. We have left out fees and score promises, because both change often and are best confirmed directly. Read the notes on choosing at the end before you book a diagnostic or a first lesson.
1. The Princeton Review Singapore
The Princeton Review's Singapore site describes both GMAT and GRE preparation delivered as live, instructor-led classes, either in person at its Somerset centre or live online. Each exam has a longer standard track and a shorter fast-track, with batch start dates posted into late 2026. It also lists one-to-one tutoring, in person or online, and a self-paced package of practice tests and section drills for candidates who prefer to study alone. According to the page, courses open with a diagnostic mock and include regular full-length practice tests, booster sessions near the exam and official-style study books. It describes its tutors as certified in the United States, its own wording. A sensible choice if you want a fixed class calendar and a physical base.
2. Manhattan Review
Manhattan Review's Singapore pages present GMAT and GRE preparation in two main shapes: scheduled in-person classes and private tutoring. The class course is described as a 28-hour programme spread over weekend sessions, with dates listed from late 2026 and a hotel venue on Orchard Road that the site says is not staffed day to day, so it asks visitors to email first. Private tutoring is sold in packages of twelve to forty-eight hours, delivered in person or through live online sessions, and the company says each plan is tailored to the student's weaker areas. A companion Singapore site also lists a Bencoolen Street office. Worth a look if you prefer weekend classes or a structured one-to-one block.

3. Prep Zone Academy
Prep Zone Academy describes itself as a Singapore test preparation and admissions consulting team founded in 2006, and its GMAT Zone programme is presented as its flagship course. Its course pages show self-paced online products for the GMAT and the GRE rather than a fixed classroom timetable. The GRE course outline covers verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing and a vocabulary lecture, with most units pairing a recorded lecture with a recording of a live class session. The GMAT course is listed as covering the verbal, quantitative, integrated reasoning and writing areas, with lessons and answer keys. Because the academy's main site sits behind bot protection, check its current offerings and any live coaching directly with the team before committing.

4. Icon Education (ICON+)
Icon Education, also branded ICON+, says it was founded in 1999 and runs test preparation and university admissions coaching from offices in several parts of Singapore, with online sessions as an alternative. Its GMAT page describes one-to-one personalised coaching that starts with a diagnostic assessment, followed by strategy training and progress tracking. A blended Gateway Learning option is said to combine in-person coaching with online content, progress reports, flexible scheduling and full-length practice tests with diagnostics. The page we read does not mention the GRE, so ask about it separately. The firm also publishes a webinar and article library aimed at applicants. Suited to candidates who want individual coaching tied to a wider admissions plan, though enquiries go through its contact form.

5. Mindworks Tuition
Mindworks Tuition is a home-tuition agency whose GRE, GMAT and SAT page promotes private one-to-one tutoring in Singapore. It describes its tutors as specialists in these tests and invites visitors to submit a Request a Tutor form describing their target exam, level and schedule. The page does not set out how tutors are matched or vetted, so that is a good first question to put to the agency. It lists a general phone line, a WhatsApp link and an email address for enquiries, and its footer carries a 2026 copyright line. This is a matching service rather than a classroom, which suits an applicant who wants a personal schedule and already has a clear target score in mind.

6. Tutor City
Tutor City is a tuition-matching agency, and its SAT, GMAT and GRE page explains how it pairs applicants with private tutors for one-to-one lessons at home or online. Visitors can request a tutor or browse profiles and shortlist several, after which the agency says it contacts those tutors to confirm availability. It states that it favours tutors who have taken the exam themselves and that it checks tutor certificates, and it says it charges no agency fee and has no lock-in contracts; these are its own published terms, so confirm them in writing. Its site shows a copyright range ending in 2026. Consider it if you would like to compare several individual tutors before choosing one.

7. SmileTutor
SmileTutor is a Singapore home-tuition agency with a dedicated page for GRE, GMAT and SAT tutors. It says it matches students with one-to-one tutors, with lessons usually held at the student's home but possible at the tutor's home or a public place such as a library. Requests can be made through an online form, by phone or through WhatsApp, and the site lists contact hours. The page does not describe a group syllabus or a set course length, so the content of each lesson depends on the tutor and on what you agree with them. Its footer shows a 2026 copyright, though the most recent testimonial we saw dates from 2024. A flexible option if you want private lessons arranged around your own study timetable.

How to choose
- Match the format to how you study. Scheduled group classes give structure and deadlines, self-paced courses fit shift work and travel, and private tutoring lets you spend every hour on your weakest section. Be honest about whether you need accountability or flexibility, because the cheapest-looking option fails if you never open it.
- Confirm the course reflects the current exam. The GMAT has been reshaped into the shorter Focus Edition, and not every page says which version it teaches. Ask whether practice tests use the current section structure, and whether the provider covers the GRE as well if you may sit either test.
- Ask who actually teaches. Providers describe their tutors in different ways, and agencies pass you to independent individuals. Request a short introduction or a sample lesson, ask what the tutor scored and when, and check that their experience is with the test you are taking rather than a related one.
- Look closely at practice material and feedback. A good programme should give full-length timed mock exams, explain your errors, and adjust the plan afterwards. Ask whether tests are official or the provider's own, how often you get them, and whether a diagnostic comes before any commitment so the plan fits your starting point.
- Check schedule, refund and contract terms in writing. Class dates change, venues move and online access can expire, so ask about start dates, rescheduling, missed sessions and lock-in periods. Work backwards from your application deadline and the earliest test slot, then leave a few weeks spare in case you decide to retake.
