Deciding to seek help with fertility is a deeply personal step, and choosing where to go can feel overwhelming. Singapore's assisted-reproduction centres, all licensed by the Ministry of Health, span three public hospital units and a number of private clinics offering services such as fertility assessment, intrauterine insemination, in-vitro fertilisation and egg freezing. This guide is a shortlist of real, currently-operating centres to help you start your search; it is not a ranking, and it does not compare or predict outcomes.

1. KKIVF Centre (KK Women's and Children's Hospital)

The KKIVF Centre is the assisted-reproduction unit of KK Women's and Children's Hospital, a public hospital at 100 Bukit Timah Road, and is one of Singapore's largest and longest-running fertility centres. It states it offers a full range of services, including fertility assessment, ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and ICSI, elective egg and embryo freezing, frozen embryo transfer, pre-implantation genetic testing, donor programmes, reproductive surgery and fertility preservation. As a public centre, eligible Singaporean patients may access government ART co-funding.

2. NUH Clinic for Human Reproduction

The Clinic for Human Reproduction is the fertility service of National University Hospital, a public hospital in Kent Ridge, run within its Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. It states it provides a full range of fertility investigations and treatments, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), ICSI, pre-implantation genetic testing, and cryopreservation of eggs, embryos and sperm, along with elective egg freezing and reproductive carrier screening. As a public centre, eligible Singaporean patients may qualify for government ART co-funding.

3. SGH Centre for Assisted Reproduction (CARE)

The Centre for Assisted Reproduction, known as CARE, is Singapore General Hospital's fertility centre in Outram, established in 1987. The hospital states it offers the full range of fertility assessment and treatment, including basic ovulation monitoring, ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), ICSI, blastocyst culture, elective egg freezing, donor programmes and pre-implantation genetic testing. It also provides fertility-preservation options for patients whose fertility may be affected by conditions such as cancer or by treatments like chemotherapy. Eligible Singaporean patients may access government ART co-funding.

4. Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore

Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore is a private, self-contained fertility centre on Orchard Road, established in 2015 and part of the international Virtus Health group. It states it offers fertility consultations and diagnostic work-ups, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), ICSI, and egg and embryo freezing, with its own theatres, embryo-transfer rooms and a connected laboratory for one-stop care. The centre says it has adopted technologies such as an RFID witnessing system for specimen identification and, more recently, AI-assisted steps in its IVF laboratory.

5. Thomson Fertility Centre

Thomson Fertility Centre, part of Thomson Medical, describes itself as the first IVF centre in a private hospital in Singapore, established in 1987. It states it provides fertility screening and consultations, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), egg freezing, surgical sperm retrieval (MESA/TESE) and a donor programme, supported by an on-site embryology laboratory. The centre notes it is accredited by Australia's RTAC and approved by Singapore's Ministry of Health for certain pre-implantation genetic tests. It operates at Paragon on Orchard Road and at United Square in Novena.

6. Sincere IVF Center

Sincere IVF Center, part of Sincere Healthcare Group, is a private fertility centre at Novena Specialist Center. It states it offers in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), ICSI, elective egg freezing, and embryo, sperm and ovarian-tissue preservation, along with male-fertility assessment, supported by an in-house embryology laboratory. Its medical chairman, Professor Ng Soon Chye, is described as having started Singapore's first IVF programme in the 1980s. The centre also notes concierge support such as interpretation and travel help for patients coming from overseas.

7. Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre

Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre is a private fertility centre in the Orchard area, part of the Parkway hospital group and established in 1988. It states it offers services including fertility assessment, ovulation induction and monitoring, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), ICSI, elective egg freezing and elective single blastocyst transfer, supported by a dedicated embryology team and the hospital's laboratory facilities. As with other private centres, patients arrange care directly with the centre and its reproductive-medicine specialists.

8. Astra Women's Specialists (SMG Women's Health)

Astra Women's Specialists is the women's-health and fertility practice of Singapore Medical Group (SMG), operating from Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre. It states it offers in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI) and preconception assessment and care, alongside general obstetrics and gynaecology, with fertility treatment led by its reproductive-medicine specialists. As a private practice within a larger medical group, it can coordinate related women's-health and diagnostic services across that network. Patients consult its specialists directly to plan treatment.

9. Alpha Fertility Centre Singapore

Alpha Fertility Centre Singapore is a private fertility clinic at Royal Square in Novena, the Singapore centre of the Alpha fertility group. It states it offers in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), ICSI, elective and medical egg freezing, fertility assessment, ovulation induction, surgical sperm retrieval, embryo cryopreservation and advanced sperm-selection techniques, supported by its own embryology laboratory. Patients arrange consultations and treatment directly with the centre's fertility specialists.

10. CARE IVF (Singapore Women's and Children's Medical Group)

CARE IVF, run by the Singapore Women's and Children's Medical Group, is a private fertility centre at Novena Specialist Center. It states it offers in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), elective egg freezing (which it notes is for women aged 21 to 37), fertility screening and investigations, male-fertility services including semen analysis and surgical sperm retrieval, ovulation induction, donor programmes and fertility counselling. Note that it shares the CARE name with the separate public centre at Singapore General Hospital; they are different organisations.

How to choose

  • Confirm the centre is licensed by the Ministry of Health for assisted reproduction, and ask about the reproductive-medicine training and accreditation of the specialists you would see; all IVF in Singapore must be carried out at MOH-licensed centres.
  • Weigh public versus private care: the three public hospital centres (KKH, NUH and SGH) may offer government ART co-funding and MediSave use for eligible Singaporean patients, while private centres often offer shorter waits and more choice of doctor at a higher cost. Ask each centre to explain its current fees and what financing you qualify for.
  • Check that the specific services you may need are offered, for example fertility assessment, IUI, IVF, ICSI, egg or embryo freezing, male-fertility investigation, donor programmes or pre-implantation genetic testing, as not every centre provides all of these.
  • Ask what counselling and emotional support is available, since fertility treatment can be demanding; many centres and independent support groups in Singapore offer counselling alongside medical care.
  • Consider practical factors such as location, clinic hours and typical waiting times for a first appointment, as treatment often involves frequent monitoring visits over several weeks.
  • Prepare questions for your first consultation about the assessment process, the options suited to your situation, the risks and side effects, and the likely timeline and cost, and be cautious of anyone who guarantees a particular result, as no clinic can promise a pregnancy.
