Singapore's heat and humidity are hard on car interiors. Leather cracks, foam collapses, roof linings sag and stitching gives way long before the engine does. This guide lists six workshops that publish car upholstery work on their own sites, from seat re-trimming and leather replacement to roof lining repair and steering wheel and dashboard wraps. Each write-up reflects what the business itself says it does, so treat it as a starting point, not a verdict. Prices, materials and warranty terms are not covered here because they change by car and by job. Send each workshop photos and your car model, ask for a written quote naming the material, and compare the answers side by side.

1. The Regency Leather

The Regency Leather describes itself as an automotive upholstery and interior refurbishment workshop that handles assessment, fabrication and fitting under one roof. Its site lists leather seat upholstery and damage repair, roof lining and starlight headliner work, steering wheel wraps in leather or carbon fibre, dashboard, gear and trim wrapping, seat belt repair and custom floor mats. It also mentions Alcantara or Nappa headliner finishes and says it checks foam condition before fitting new surfaces. The company says it was founded in July 2001 and works on all marques. To enquire, its site asks you to WhatsApp two or three clear photos, your car model and the area needing attention. Warranty terms are described only as explained per service, so ask for them in writing.

2. 8 Cushion

8 Cushion presents itself as a specialist in convertible tops, roof linings, upholstery and windscreens, with a showroom where customers are invited to see and feel materials in person. On its car seat upholstery page it lists genuine leather, Connolly leather, synthetic leather, Alcantara, micro-suedes, vinyls and fabrics, and says original-spec leather is available for several European makes. Services named there include seat cover replacement, partial leather repair, door panel lining replacement, steering wheel re-wrap or re-stitch, seat foam repair and seat frame parts replacement. The site also mentions ventilated seats and soundproofing. Its footer carries a copyright range beginning in 1982. Customers can call, WhatsApp or use the contact page, and the site gives a separate WhatsApp line for business clients.

3. Five Star Auto Leather

Five Star Auto Leather says it has been making custom car leather seats and interiors in Singapore since 2005 and describes its work as tailored, with bespoke designs and personalisation details. Its homepage also lists repairs such as a sagging roof lining and a cracked dashboard. The site does not name specific leather grades, car makes or process steps, so those are questions to put to the workshop directly. It does not state warranty terms either, so ask what is covered before agreeing to a job. The business lists named contacts on WhatsApp, an email address and a phone line, along with opening hours that run Monday to Saturday morning. Its footer shows a 2026 copyright, which supports the claim that it is still trading.

4. Hap Li Car Trimming

Hap Li Car Trimming markets itself as a premium and classic car upholstery business, and its about page says it has been restoring vehicles from different eras and manufacturers for more than 30 years. Its services page lists classic and modern car restoration, coach trimming, headliner and roof lining repair, soft top replacement, leather re-dye, custom lambs wool carpet and the supply of hard-to-find classic car parts. It also lists aviation and marine interior upholstery. The site says period-correct materials matter for authentic restorations, and its portfolio shows vintage and sports cars. Enquiries go through the contact page, email or phone, and the workshop address is published on the site. A 2025 copyright notice and recent Instagram links show an active presence.

5. AutoSprint (Auto Leather & Upholstery)

AutoSprint is a general car workshop that lists leather upholstery among its services, alongside servicing, repair, polishing, coating and cleaning. Its upholstery page describes leather seat installation, replacement and polishing, and a longer service page mentions Nappa and grained leather, stitching customisation, restoration and re-trimming of interior parts such as door panels, steering wheels, roof linings and gear knobs. The page says prices vary and refers to the work as Auto Leather, so confirm the provider name when you enquire. Customers can book through an online request button or call the workshop, and the site lists weekday and Saturday morning hours, plus a customer lounge. A 2026 copyright notice appears in its footer. It may suit owners who prefer one workshop.

6. ECV Car Service (Elite Car Ventures)

ECV Car Service, which also uses the name Elite Car Ventures, is a general car workshop whose site includes a dedicated car upholstery page. That page offers cowhide leather seats in what it calls numerous colours and Alcantara seats, which it says give more grip and stay cooler than leather. It also mentions an Alcantara dashboard wrap and links to a separate dashboard repair page. The site says it gives a quote and waits for the customer's approval before starting repairs. No upholstery process, timeline or warranty is described, so those are worth asking about. Enquiries can be made through a contact form, phone or WhatsApp. It may suit drivers who prefer one workshop.

How to choose

  • Decide whether you need repair or full re-trimming. Some workshops advertise partial leather repair, others re-cover whole seats, and a few handle roof linings or steering wheels only. Send photos of the damage and ask each workshop which fix it would recommend for your seats, and why, before comparing quotes.
  • Ask exactly which material is being used. Genuine leather, synthetic leather, Alcantara and vinyl behave differently in Singapore's heat. Request the name of the material in the written quote, and ask to see a sample, since each workshop describes its range in its own terms.
  • Check whether the job suits your seats. Many modern seats contain airbags, heating or ventilation, and covers or new stitching should not interfere with them. Ask the workshop how it handles those features on your car model, and get the answer in writing rather than relying on a verbal assurance.
  • Look at finished work for similar cars. Portfolios on a workshop's site or social pages show stitching, colour matching and fit better than any description. Hap Li Car Trimming, for example, publishes classic and sports car projects. Ask whether it has done your make and seat style before.
  • Get warranty and timing terms before agreeing. Several of these workshops do not publish warranty details, so ask what is covered, for how long, and whether labour is included. Also confirm how many days the car will be off the road, and whether a replacement vehicle is possible.
