AI image by LocalRankFitting out a smart home in Singapore can mean anything from app-controlled lights and motorised blinds in an HDB flat to a fully integrated KNX or Control4 system across a landed house, with home theatre, security and climate on one interface. The ten automation companies below were each checked against their own website, and span luxury integrators, AV specialists and retrofit installers. Treat it as a shortlist rather than a strict ranking.
1. HAP
HAP designs and integrates whole-home systems for landed houses, condominiums and penthouses, pulling smart lighting, motorised shading, home theatre, multi-room audio, security and networking onto a single interface. The company says it has worked on Singapore smart homes since 2014 and describes itself as a Control4 Gold Dealer and certified Lutron installer, and it runs a Control4 and Bowers & Wilkins experience centre. Its orientation is clearly toward the higher end rather than budget HDB retrofits.
2. LivingArt
LivingArt is a multi-brand integrator that works across KNX, Legrand, Lutron, Bticino, Ekinex and Simon, covering smart lighting, automated curtains and blinds, climate, access control and multi-room audio. Its portfolio spans residences, hotels, commercial spaces and even yacht automation, and the company says it has been building intelligent homes in Singapore for over a decade. It positions itself as a KNX partner installer and a Legrand and Lutron authorised integrator, so it suits projects that want an open, standards-based system.
3. Smart Home Gallery
Smart Home Gallery, operated by TianJian, builds KNX-based automation covering lighting, smart shading, climate, security and outdoor systems, and folds them into IoT control. The company says it runs the largest smart home gallery in Singapore, with walk-through showrooms at Scotts Square and Toa Payoh where full systems are set up to try before buying. Its work leans toward luxury residences, offices, hospitality and marine spaces rather than budget flats.

4. Art of Entertainment (AOE)
Art of Entertainment comes at smart homes from the audio-visual side, designing home cinemas, invisible-speaker systems and multi-room audio, then adding Control4 automation for lighting, climate and security. The company says it has specialised in premium AV for almost two decades and works with homeowners, architects and interior designers, carrying brands such as Control4, Yamaha and Triad. Its retail showroom is in Mandarin Gallery on Orchard Road, so it is a natural fit if home entertainment is the priority.
5. M2J Systems Integration
M2J Systems Integration handles both home and building automation, integrating KNX through Thinknx alongside audio-visual, security, surveillance, access control, networking and energy management. It works as both an integrator and a distributor, listing partner brands such as Thinknx, EAE and Panphonics, and the company claims more than 20 years of experience and over 1,000 completed projects. That breadth makes it as suited to commercial buildings as to private homes.
6. Home-A-Genius
Home-A-Genius focuses on retrofitting existing homes, from HDB BTO and resale flats to condominiums and landed houses, with smart lighting, switches, motorised curtains and blinds, aircon and fan control, CCTV and whole-home Wi-Fi. Its distinguishing feature, by its own account, is a locally made hub that runs automations inside the home rather than depending on overseas cloud servers, and the company says it holds a CSA Cybersecurity Label. Its experience centre is in Tampines.
7. HomeAuto
HomeAuto installs smart home systems across HDB flats, condominiums and landed properties, spanning lighting, aircon, curtains and locks, and it works with both consumer platforms such as Home Assistant and professional KNX wiring for larger homes. The company also fits mesh Wi-Fi, structured cabling and 4K IP CCTV, and says it has operated since 2020 with a one-year workmanship warranty. That range lets it scale from a simple wireless HDB setup to a wired landed installation.
8. Koble
Koble builds its systems mainly on Zigbee, offering smart switches and lighting, curtains and blinds, aircon control, security sensors and automated windows, doors and gates through a single app, and it also offers KNX conversion for existing setups. The company says its automations keep running during internet outages and cites work with HDB's My Nice Home Gallery among its projects across flats and condominiums. Its Smart Experience Centre is on Lavender Street.
9. Automate Asia
Automate Asia takes a brand-agnostic approach, designing systems around platforms such as Homey Pro, SmartThings, Tuya and Aqara rather than a single ecosystem, and covering lighting, air-conditioning, window coverings, locks, surveillance, gates and energy or irrigation control. The company describes itself as a personal smart home architect that plans from your floor plan, and says it has operated since 2014, offering either DIY support or full installation. It works by appointment from Balestier Road.
10. AT Smart Home
AT Smart Home fits smart lighting, switches, curtains and blinds, kitchen automation and connected appliances for HDB flats, condominiums and landed houses, controlled through a single app with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice support. It presents itself as a smart home consultant and says it has served more than 600 homeowners over five years, working with hardware partners such as Dooya and Hafele. Its showroom is on Ubi Road 1.
How to choose
- Decide your platform and how open it needs to be: a wired KNX or Control4 system suits a landed house or major renovation and is built to last, while Zigbee, Wi-Fi or app-based consumer kit is cheaper and easier to retrofit into an HDB flat or condo but can be more fragmented.
- Match the scope to your home's stage, since wired systems and motorised blinds are far easier to install before or during renovation while cabling and recesses are still open, whereas retrofit-friendly wireless gear is the practical route for a home you are not tearing up.
- Ask what happens when the internet or the company goes down: whether core automations run locally on an in-home hub or depend on an overseas cloud, whether there are subscription fees, and how you would get support or spare parts years later.
- Get the specific brands, devices and exactly what is included in writing, and separate hardware from design and installation labour, so you can compare quotes like for like rather than on headline package prices.
- Check the installer's track record and after-sales terms: relevant experience with your property type, any manufacturer certifications they claim, the workmanship warranty, and how firmware updates, reconfiguration and repairs are handled after handover.
