Singapore's towers still need their facades cleaned, painted, sealed and inspected, and rope access lets trained technicians reach them without wrapping a building in scaffolding. This guide rounds up established rope access specialists handling high-rise facade works across condominiums, commercial towers and industrial sites. Each was checked against its own website; treat it as a shortlist, not a ranking.

1. Rope Access Singapore (Ezzogenics)

Operated by Ezzogenics, Rope Access Singapore runs a broad high-rise programme: facade and bin-chute cleaning, external painting and spray painting, facade waterproofing, window cleaning and replacement, curtain-wall installation, facade inspection and signage work. The company says its technicians are IRATA-trained across Levels 1 to 3 and hold Managing Work at Height training, with site-specific fall-prevention plans overseen by a competent person. It lists HDB contractor registration and works on condominiums, commercial blocks and landed homes.

2. IET Pte Ltd (Yourhandyman)

Trading as Yourhandyman, IET Pte Ltd has offered rope access work since 2015, covering high-rise facade and window cleaning, structural inspection and reporting, sealant replacement, crack repair, waterproofing and external painting, plus at-height installation of items such as signboards, lighting and CCTV. The firm states all technicians are certified under IRATA Levels I, II and III and that jobs follow WSH regulations with documented risk assessments. Its client list spans condominiums, malls, hotels, factories, schools and hospitals.

3. Hydro-Seal Engineering

Hydro-Seal Engineering, which dates its founding to 1995, applies rope access to facade inspection and condition surveys, sealant replacement and re-caulking, external PU grouting and crack repair, facade cleaning, external painting and coating, and window and signage works. The company describes its technicians as IRATA-certified and fully insured, and lists BCA registration and bizSafe accreditation. It works on CBD office towers, multi-storey buildings and condominiums where exteriors are hard to reach by conventional access.

4. Spyder System

Spyder System, established in Singapore in 2008, is a building-maintenance specialist whose rope access crews handle facade and external-wall cleaning, external wall painting and protective coatings, high-rise window cleaning, waterproofing and external-wall leak repair, and facade rectification and sealant work. The company also offers periodic facade inspection support. It says it serves commercial, institutional and industrial buildings alongside condominiums and landed houses, and offers free site visits by appointment before quoting.

5. Outdoor Solution

Outdoor Solution positions itself as an IRATA-certified rope access contractor for building maintenance, covering facade inspection and defect assessment, high-rise waterproofing and sealant works, external painting and protective coatings, glass and cladding maintenance, and installation at height. The company says its technicians are trained in advanced rescue and safety procedures and that work follows Singapore's work-at-height rules. It lists commercial buildings, MCST-managed condominiums, industrial facilities and infrastructure projects among the sites it serves.

6. Akrobat

Akrobat is an engineering-led rope access contractor whose building work spans external facade cleaning and repairs, inspection and testing, coating and painting, insulation and cladding, fireproofing and signage, backed by stand-by rescue teams. The company displays bizSafe Star, BCA, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 accreditations on its site. Its portfolio reaches beyond buildings into offshore oil installations, alongside factories, schools, condominiums, hotels, shopping centres and offices, making it a fit for industrial as well as high-rise facade jobs.

7. Le Fong Building Services

Le Fong Building Services runs a rope access division for high-rise work: facade repair and waterproofing, external and high-rise painting, window cleaning by abseil, building inspection and maintenance, and signage installation. The company says it is certified under and bound by the safety standards of IRATA International, and frames rope access as a lower-disruption alternative to scaffolding and elevated work platforms. It lists high-rise office buildings, residential towers, penthouses and commercial offices among the properties it handles.

8. A-Star Testing & Inspection

A-Star Testing & Inspection is an inspection- and testing-led firm that uses rope access to reach structures rather than a cleaning specialist. Its at-height scope covers structural inspection of steel and concrete, non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic, radiographic and magnetic-particle methods, corrosion inspection, painting and coating, minor structural repairs, and sealant replacement and cleaning. The company states its technicians are IRATA-certified across all three levels and that its methods exceed local work-at-height safety standards. Useful where a facade needs assessment, not just washing.

9. Re Sustainability

Re Sustainability's Singapore arm is a high-rise external cleaning specialist, using rope access for facade cleaning across glass, steel, marble and brick surfaces on tall buildings. The company says it fields an IRATA-certified rope access team, works to the Workplace Safety and Health Act, and runs a zero-accident policy, and it cites more than 25 years in external high-rise cleaning. Its focus is cleaning rather than painting or repair, so it suits owners whose main need is a facade wash.

10. Absolute Rope Access

Absolute Rope Access is a dedicated rope access contractor and training provider, with technicians it says are certified under IRATA and IATRAS at Levels 1 to 3. Its work is grouped into inspection, installation and building services at height, and its stated focus spans the marine, oil-and-gas and commercial-building sectors, so it leans more industrial than the facade-cleaning specialists. For high-rise buildings it offers a certified rope access team as an alternative to scaffolding for inspection and access-dependent tasks.

How to choose

  • Check that the crew are certified rope access technicians (many list IRATA Levels 1 to 3) and ask how supervision and rescue are handled on site, rather than trusting a logo on the website.
  • Match the firm to the job: some are cleaning specialists, others focus on painting and coating, sealant and caulking, or facade inspection and defect surveys, and few do all of it equally well.
  • Confirm the work will follow Singapore's Ministry of Manpower work-at-height and WSH rules, with a written risk assessment and a safe work procedure for the specific building.
  • Ask to see proof of insurance and any relevant registration, such as BCA registration or bizSafe, and check that the coverage is current rather than lapsed.
  • For condominiums, favour a contractor with MCST and managing-agent experience, and for older buildings ask whether they can support Periodic Facade Inspection (PFI) requirements.
  • Get an itemised written quotation that states the scope, access method, number of drops or coats, and what is excluded, so you can compare firms on the same basis.
