Singapore's heat, monsoon downpours and salty air are hard on roofs, and a botched repair often shows up as a stain months later. This guide gathers established roofing contractors in Singapore that work across metal, clay-tile, polycarbonate and flat roofs, covering leak repair, re-roofing, gutters and skylights. Each was checked against its own website or business listing; treat it as a shortlist to compare, not a ranking.

1. K.K. Roof Specialist

K.K. Roof Specialist handles the full range of Singapore roof types, from metal profiles such as Trimdek and Kliplok to clay tiles, polycarbonate and RC flat roofs, alongside gutters, flashing and capping. The contractor treats roof repair, re-roofing and roof waterproofing as one scope, so leak tracing and structural fixes can be tackled in a single job. It describes itself as a BCA-registered contractor with more than 15 years in the trade and lists bizSAFE Star and ISO certifications.

2. The Roofing Specialist (TRS)

The Roofing Specialist focuses on roof restoration and replacement across metal, pitched-tile and RC flat roofs, and also fits awnings and skylights. Beyond re-roofing it handles roof-leak repair and wall-seepage work, positioning itself as one contractor for both brand-new roofs and ageing ones. The company traces its roots to KB Tay Contractors in 1996, says it has completed more than 3,000 roofing jobs islandwide, and offers a five-year workmanship warranty.

3. Roofing Singapore

Roofing Singapore covers metal, pitched-tile, polycarbonate and composite-panel roofs, with work spanning roof-leak repair, re-roofing, roof restoration and gutter cleaning and repair. It also offers rope-access crews for hard-to-reach roof sections and repaints roofs and walls once the roofing is done. The company says it is a licensed, bizSAFE Level 3-certified contractor and offers up to a five-year warranty on its roofing services.

4. SP Roofing Contractor

SP Roofing Contractor works across metal, tiled and polycarbonate roofs, taking on new roof installation, roof-leak repair, re-roofing and roof restoration, plus gutter and flashing installation and roof washing. It also builds polycarbonate awnings and canopies for porches and walkways. The firm describes itself as a BCA-licensed contractor with over 17 years of experience and says it backs both materials and workmanship with a warranty.

5. J&K Roof Contractors

J&K Roof Contractors covers metal, clay-tile, polycarbonate and RC flat roofs, with a scope built around roof-leak repair, gutter and flashing replacement, re-roofing and roof restoration. Because it treats roof waterproofing as part of the roofing job, membrane, tile and gutter faults can be diagnosed together in one visit. The company says it has provided roofing services since 2000 and is bizSAFE 3 certified.

6. Tong Seng Huat Engineering

Tong Seng Huat Engineering is a tile-roofing specialist that works extensively with clay roof tiles and also handles metal roofing, asphalt and timber shingles and thatch. Its projects span new roofs, re-roofing and design-and-build timber and steel roof structures, which suits pitched-roof and landed-home work rather than simple leak patches. The company says it has operated as a roofing contractor since 1981 and calls itself one of Singapore's larger clay-tile roofers.

7. Buildbest Roofing & Construction

Buildbest Roofing & Construction installs and repairs metal roofs in profiles such as Kliplok, Trimdek and V-Crimp, along with clay-tile, polycarbonate and composite-panel roofs. Beyond re-roofing and roof repair it offers roof coating and reconditioning, gutter fabrication in mild steel, aluminium, stainless and PVC, and facade inspection and reinstatement. The company points to a track record it describes as spanning close to four decades.

8. Sunrise Roofing & Waterproofing Specialist

Sunrise Roofing installs metal and tiled roofs and takes on roof repair, re-roofing and roof-leak fixes, along with gutter installation, replacement and cleaning and skylight fitting. Keeping roofing and supporting trades such as metalwork and plumbing in-house lets it address the roof structure and its drainage together. The company describes itself as a BCA-registered contractor.

9. Sinhao Contractor

Sinhao E&C concentrates on metal roofing and polycarbonate roofs, awnings and canopies, and on tracing and repairing roof leaks for homes and light-commercial buildings. It also builds balcony and car-park canopy roofs, so it is worth a look for covered outdoor structures as well as the main roof. The company lists BCA registration and bizSAFE 3 certification.

10. Design CliniQ

Design CliniQ offers a broad roofing menu that includes metal-sheet, polycarbonate, laminated-glass, composite-panel and flat roofs, plus general roof repairs, leak repair, roof surveys and gutter work. Its laminated-glass and polycarbonate options suit daylit covers and skylight-style roofs where a solid roof is not wanted. The company says it has over 20 years in the trade and offers a ten-year guarantee on newly installed roofs; note that it also runs interior-design and renovation services.

How to choose

  • Check the contractor is registered or licensed with Singapore's BCA, and bear in mind that changing a roof's material or load, such as swapping light metal for heavy clay tiles, can require a Qualified Person's submission and BCA approval.
  • Insist on a proper roof inspection before any quote, because the source of a leak is often metres from where the water shows up inside, and the fix should target the cause rather than the stain.
  • Match the contractor to your roof type; metal, clay tile, polycarbonate and RC flat roofs need different skills and materials, so confirm they have done that specific work before.
  • Get the warranty in writing and check what it actually covers (materials, workmanship, or both) and for how long, since a roof leak can take a full monsoon season to reappear.
  • Ask who carries out the work and how access and safety at height are handled, and make sure the quote spells out gutters, flashing, capping and reinstatement instead of leaving them as later extras.
