Rehearsal rooms are a different job from a recording studio. You are paying for a soundproofed space, a working backline and enough room for everyone to hear each other, usually by the hour and often with no staff in the building. These eight Singapore studios each run their own booking page and describe their rooms on their own sites, so we have summarised only what each one publishes and attributed it to the studio. We leave hourly rates out because they change; check the live booking page for current prices. Read the equipment lines closely, match room size to your headcount, and treat recording-first studios as a separate list.

1. Tumbleweed Studios

Tumbleweed Studios describes itself as a jamming studio operating since 2024, and its site lists four rooms named XL, Large, Medium and Small, each shown with an approximate floor area. The XL room is published as roughly 500 square feet and comfortable for up to ten players, with a five-piece drum kit, bass and guitar amps, two keyboards, an upright piano, floor wedges and personal in-ear mixers. The Small room is listed as about 200 square feet for up to six, using a PA setup instead. Each room page carries a detailed equipment list and floor plan, and a booking page lets you pick room, date, start time and duration. The studio sits inside the Esplanade mall complex, which suits central, after-work rehearsals.

2. Plug & Play Studio

Plug & Play Studio presents itself as a fully automated band rehearsal and recording space that its site says was founded in 2026 by three working musicians. The page describes acoustically treated rooms with a full drum kit, guitar and bass amplifiers, a keyboard, a vocal booth and a PA system, and says the gear is included so you can skip setup. It states that the space is available around the clock, every day, and that you book online, enter and play without staff on site. The site also has a frequently asked questions section covering deposits, refunds, rescheduling and minimum booking length. It is based in Peninsula Shopping Complex, close to City Hall station, and also markets the room for demo recording.

3. NOIZ Studio

NOIZ Studio is a rehearsal room in Unity Centre, Bukit Batok, aimed at the west of Singapore, and its site describes the space as built by musicians for musicians. The studio says it is soundproofed, air-conditioned and equipped with a drum set, keyboard, guitar amplifiers, microphones, a PA system, a mixer and music stands, plus a private in-house toilet. Bookings are made through an online reservation page with instant email confirmation, and each session reportedly uses a unique access passcode, giving your group exclusive use of the room. Its site says it is open around the clock and welcomes bands, choirs, school ensembles and cultural groups, as well as workshops and small events. It mentions multi-hour packages without listing figures here.

4. 4th Wall Studios

4th Wall Studios is an industrial-building studio in the Jalan Pemimpin area whose site lists rehearsal, recording, mixing and mastering, and equipment rental under one banner. Its rehearsal booking page offers two room choices, a Live Room and a Mini Live Room, alongside a separate multi-track live recording option, and lets you pick session lengths from one hour up to six hours before checking out online. The home page also names a control room and a backline rental service, and a quote request form handles anything outside the standard sessions. The public pages we read do not publish equipment inventories or room dimensions, so ask the studio what each room includes before you book a full band.

5. The Basement Studio

The Basement Studio operates from the basement of Golden Mile Tower, and its site says it was established in 2013 and has since added recording, livestreaming and voiceover work to its jamming rooms. The Our Studios page describes a Big Room with tube amps, a full drum set, guitars, keyboards and microphones, and a newer Small Room that it says suits five people or fewer and uses combo amps. A separate mixing room is also listed for post-production. Both jamming rooms are described as soundproofed. Sessions are booked through an online scheduling page linked from every part of the site, and the studio also lists equipment rental and a promotions tab for packages, which change over time.

6. Trinity Music Studio

Trinity Music Studio runs jamming rooms at two locations, one in Kovan and one in the Marymount industrial area, and treats them as a single brand with one booking system. Its site calls the rooms well-maintained and equipped for practising and rehearsing bands at an affordable level, while its Instagram profile advertises a self check-in format with quality instruments and instrument rental. Booking is handled through an online scheduler linked from the home page, and the studio also takes questions over WhatsApp and email. The public site does not itemise amplifiers or drum kits on the home page, so ask which room and gear suit your band. We count it as one operator rather than two entries.

7. Music Brio Studio

Music Brio Studio is a jamming studio in Grandlink Square on Guillemard Road, a short walk from Paya Lebar, and its home page displays a booking button for reserving the studio rental online. The studio shows customer testimonials that mention Bogner and Mesa guitar amplifiers, Ampeg bass amplification, Yamaha drums, acoustic treatment and a clean carpeted, air-conditioned room, though these are visitor comments rather than an official inventory. Its site states a 2026 copyright and lists services beyond rehearsal, including recording, sound system rental and custom acoustic treatment products. A music school operates separately from another location, so confirm that your booking is for the studio rental, and ask the studio directly which amplifiers and drum kit your chosen slot includes.

8. LVMEN Studio

LVMEN Studio is a small, student-run rehearsal room that describes itself on its site as built by students for students, with the exact unit shared only after a booking is confirmed. Its equipment list is unusually specific: a Yamaha electronic drum kit, a Yamaha stage keyboard, an acoustic-electric guitar, a cajon, two vocal microphones, an acoustic guitar amplifier, a portable Yamaha PA system and eight in-ear monitors. Sticks, pedals, music stands and cables are provided, and artists are encouraged to bring their own gear. Published hours cover weekday evenings and longer weekend days rather than around the clock, and bookings are placed through a date and time form on the site, followed by payment instructions sent through messaging.

How to choose

  • Count your bodies and your kit. Studios publish different room sizes and capacities, and a duo with a keyboard needs far less floor than a five-piece with a full drum kit. Compare the stated headcount, floor area and wedge or in-ear monitor provision against your real lineup before choosing, rather than assuming bigger always sounds better.
  • Read the equipment list literally. Some rooms list exact amplifier and drum models, others only say fully equipped, and an electronic kit behaves differently from an acoustic one. If your drummer, bassist or keys player has strong preferences, check the named gear first or ask the studio to confirm in writing.
  • Check how access works. Many Singapore rehearsal rooms run unattended, using a booking confirmation and a door code, while others have set opening hours. Confirm hours, how you get in, what happens if you overrun, and whether the studio publishes cancellation and rescheduling terms on its booking page before paying.
  • Match location to your band's routine. A room next to an MRT line is easier for members who carry guitars and pedals, while industrial-estate studios may suit late-night sessions or drivers. Think about travel time for every member, since the most convenient studio is the one your whole group actually turns up to.
  • Keep recording and rehearsal separate in your mind. Some studios here also record, stream or rent backline, but their rehearsal rooms may be set up differently from their control rooms. If you need a finished track, compare these studios with LocalRank's recording studio guide and ask what is included in a session.
