Dashboards have become a routine part of office work, and two tools dominate the training market in Singapore: Microsoft Power BI and Tableau. This guide pulls together eight providers that run classes here, in a classroom, live online, or both, and describes each using what its own course page says. Durations, topics and the funding schemes a provider names are attributed to that provider, and we do not quote fees because they change and depend on your eligibility. Read the entries for scope and format, then check the current schedule and subsidy rules directly with the provider before you register for anything.

1. Intellisoft Systems

Intellisoft's Power BI page describes a two-day classroom course called Data Analytics and Visualization With Power BI, held at its Fortune Centre training venue. The page lists Power Query, DAX measures, data modelling, dashboard building, publishing through the Power BI Service and performance tuning among the topics. It names WSQ funding through SkillsFuture Singapore, SkillsFuture Credit, the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit for companies and UTAP for NTUC members, so check your own eligibility with the provider. The page also shows several intakes scheduled for October and November 2026 and credits a Microsoft Certified Trainer as the instructor. A good fit if you want a compact, hands-on weekday course concentrated on the core Power BI workflow rather than a long programme.

2. @ASK Training

@ASK Training lists a two-day course titled Data Visualisation and Storytelling with Power BI, running from morning to early evening on weekdays. According to its page, the syllabus moves from data visualisation basics through Power Query data preparation, custom visuals, data modelling and DAX fundamentals, with an emphasis on telling a story to stakeholders. The provider says it is an approved training organisation and names skills subsidies, SkillsFuture Credit, PSEA and UTAP as claimable routes, subject to eligibility. Classes are offered at two Singapore venues, labelled its West and Central branches on the page, and the page shows sessions scheduled through to December 2026. It also sells a separate Tableau course, which suits teams that need both tools.

3. Vertical Institute

Vertical Institute's course, listed as Data Analytics Using PowerBI, is described on its site as about 22 hours across seven lessons plus an assessment. It is delivered either online over Zoom or in person at the Lifelong Learning Institute, with weekday evening and weekend options mentioned. The topics named include organising data, DAX formulas, dashboard creation, data visualisation, and AI and forecasting tools. The page names SkillsFuture Credit, PSEA and government subsidies, and says completers receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment together with the institute's own certificate. It also publishes entry requirements, including a minimum qualification and work experience, so read those first. Better suited to working adults who want an evening or weekend format and a longer, more structured runway than a two-day workshop.

4. Tertiary Infotech Academy

Tertiary Infotech runs several visualisation courses, and its site lists both Power BI and Tableau options. Its Power BI Masterclass is described as 15 hours across two days and covers dashboards, data modelling, the DAX language and the Desktop and Service tools. The same page says that particular course has no government funding and points to a separate WSQ-funded Power BI course instead. Its WSQ Data Visualisation with Tableau page runs 16 hours over two days and names WSQ, SkillsFuture Credit, SFEC, UTAP and PSEA as funding routes. Classes are offered in a Woodlands classroom, over Zoom, or at a company's own premises, and the pages show dates running into 2027. Check which course code is the funded one before you enrol.

5. NTUC LearningHub

NTUC LearningHub's course page for Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI describes a 24-hour programme delivered as a Zoom virtual live class or face to face. It states the curriculum runs through nine modules, from analytics foundations to data transformation, visualisations, Power BI Service features and paginated reports. The provider says the course qualifies for government subsidies, which depend on age and residency and require digital attendance and passing the assessments. Prerequisites listed include familiarity with Microsoft Excel plus a Windows laptop with a stated minimum specification for online delivery. Successful participants are said to receive a LearningHub certificate and a Statement of Attainment. It is the longest option here, suiting learners who want a deeper, assessed course.

6. Singapore Polytechnic (PACE Academy)

Singapore Polytechnic's continuing education arm, PACE, lists Data Visualisation With Tableau as a 16-hour classroom course over two days, with a scheduled run in October 2026. Its page says participants turn raw datasets into interactive dashboards using Tableau's drag-and-drop interface, progressing from basic charts to maps, groups, sets and calculated fields, then interactive dashboards with data blending and forecasting. Interest is registered through the polytechnic's own enrolment portal, and the page notes registration closes once the class is full. The text we read names no funding schemes, so ask the academy directly. A sensible pick if you prefer a campus setting and an institution-run Tableau syllabus. Its separate Power BI course is listed for SP staff only.

7. Heicoders Academy

Heicoders Academy lists a Data Analytics Course with SQL and Tableau, described on its page as seven weeks and 21 hours in total. It can be taken as online live classes over Zoom or in a classroom, and the page shows both part-time Saturday morning and full-time intakes scheduled for late 2026. The syllabus named combines SQL for querying data with Tableau dashboards, data storytelling, statistical reasoning and AI-assisted analytics. Funding routes it names are the SkillsFuture subsidy for eligible learners, SkillsFuture Credit, PSEA and NTUC UTAP, subject to the usual eligibility rules. It differs from the single-tool workshops because SQL is taught alongside the visualisation tool, suiting someone who also wants to shape their own data before building dashboards.

8. Inspizone

Inspizone's page for Data Analysis using Microsoft Power BI describes a two-day, 14-hour classroom course held at its Central branch on Anson Road, with a session listed for late November 2026. The topics it names include working with self-service business intelligence, connecting to data sources, modelling relationships, transforming data in the Query Editor, building charts and visualisations, DAX calculations and measures, and interactive dashboards with filtering. The only funding mentioned on the page is UTAP for NTUC members, so ask the provider whether other schemes apply. It sets a minimum attendance requirement for the completion certificate and lists basic computer skills and school-level English as entry requirements. A reasonable choice for beginners who want a straightforward two-day introduction without a long commitment.

How to choose

  • Decide between Power BI and Tableau first. Power BI tends to suit teams already living in Microsoft 365 and Excel, while Tableau is common in analytics-led and research-style roles. Ask your employer or target employers which tool they actually use, because skills transfer imperfectly and the syllabi differ in their treatment of data modelling.
  • Match the course length to your goal. A two-day workshop can get you building basic dashboards, but modelling, DAX and publishing take longer to absorb. If you plan to change roles, a longer assessed course of twenty-odd hours gives more practice time than a short one, and several providers here offer that.
  • Check funding on the provider's own page and the official SkillsFuture portal. Providers here name schemes such as SkillsFuture Credit, PSEA, UTAP and WSQ subsidies, but eligibility depends on age, residency, membership and employer, and a funded course code can differ from a similar unfunded one. Confirm before paying.
  • Look at format and venue. Some providers run Zoom classes, some are classroom only, and some offer both with evening or weekend slots. Check the prerequisites too, such as Excel familiarity or a minimum laptop specification for online delivery, so you are not caught out on the first day.
  • Ask what you will leave with. Pages mention things like a Statement of Attainment, a provider certificate or exam-style content, and these are not equivalent to a Microsoft or Tableau credential. If you need a specific vendor exam, ask whether the syllabus is aligned to it, and ask to see a sample project.
