Kitchen appliances tend to fail at inconvenient moments: an oven that trips the breaker, a hob that will not ignite, a hood that has gone quiet, a dishwasher that leaves a puddle. This list looks at multi-brand repair services in Singapore that say they handle these built-in and countertop appliances, plus water dispensers, rather than a single manufacturer. Aircon, washing machine and refrigerator specialists are covered on their own pages. Each entry summarises what the provider's own website says, so check the current scope, brands and fees directly with the company before booking. Details can change, and we have not tested any of these services ourselves.

1. Yeobuild HomeRepair

Yeobuild HomeRepair presents itself as a general home and appliance repair company, with dedicated pages for ovens, gas stoves and hobs, cooker hoods, microwave ovens and dishwashers. Its site lists a long run of brands it says it works on, including Electrolux, Ariston, Brandt, Fisher and Paykel, Rinnai, Smeg and Miele, and it describes handling tabletop, built-in and freestanding dishwashers. The company says it has operated since 1980 and that it is an authorised service agent for several major brands, a claim we have not checked with the manufacturers. It also publishes a service warranty on repairs, so read the terms for your job. It offers plumbing and electrical work too, which helps when a fault is not purely the appliance.

2. HomeUnited

HomeUnited is a home repair business whose site covers ovens, gas hobs, cooker hoods, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers and water heaters, among other household items. It says it has been operating since 1980 and serves HDB flats, condominiums and landed homes across Singapore, and that its technicians hold the relevant EMA and PUB licences for gas and electrical work. Separate booking pages for microwave, cooker hood and dishwasher repair make it easy to describe the fault in advance. A notice on its site says its physical office is being rebuilt, so it currently works through online booking and visits to customers' homes. Hours are listed as appointment-based, with phone and online booking as the main routes.

3. Mexif

Mexif concentrates on kitchen cooking equipment. Its site describes repair of built-in ovens, stoves, range hoods and wine chillers, and it lists a wide spread of brand pages, including Bosch, Smeg, Electrolux, Ariston, Teka, Gaggenau, Miele and De Dietrich. That brand coverage may suit owners of European built-in appliances that general handymen avoid. The site groups common oven faults into heating failure, overheating, tripping power and similar electrical problems, which gives a sense of how it frames diagnosis. It says repairs carry a warranty that varies by job, and that weekend visits attract an additional surcharge. Enquiries run through phone, WhatsApp or email, and the site lists daily operating hours. The page we read did not state a workshop location.

4. Power Electrical Repair Centre

Power Electrical Repair Centre is a small electrical repair business that works on kitchen and household electricals rather than a single brand. Its site lists ovens, microwaves, fridges, KitchenAid mixers, Dyson products, vacuum cleaners and robot vacuums, coffee makers, air fryers, steamers and fan motors, and a second site sharing its phone number also mentions cooker hoods and hobs from makers such as Bosch, Electrolux, Smeg, Ariston and Rinnai. The business says it has more than ten years of experience in electrical appliance repair and offers a warranty after repair. It is a better fit for compact countertop appliances and electrical faults than for large installation projects. It lists a Joo Chiat address and takes enquiries by phone, WhatsApp and email.

5. Singapore Hood Repair

Singapore Hood Repair is a WhatsApp-led service focused on kitchen exhaust hoods, with its site also mentioning stoves, ovens and other home appliances. It publishes a long list of hood brands it says it can service, such as Aerogaz, Bosch, Ariston, Brandt, EF, Electrolux, Fujioh, Rinnai, Smeg and Tecno, and says it covers residential and commercial kitchens. Its site states that its technicians are expert and certified, which we have not been able to confirm independently. The same phone number appears on a separate dishwasher repair site that lists brands including Miele, Bosch, Smeg and Fisher and Paykel, so the two appear to share an operator. Booking is by WhatsApp, and the site lists a transport and checking fee, so confirm it first.

6. DWS Pte Ltd

DWS Pte Ltd serves both commercial and residential customers, and its residential repair page lists dishwashers, ovens, stoves and microwaves alongside dryers, washers, refrigerators, coffee machines, vacuum cleaners and mixers. The company describes its approach as careful diagnostics followed by a repair designed to limit downtime. Its commercial side is built around espresso and bean-to-cup coffee machines, and it also runs an online store for home and business appliances, so it is more of a broad appliance company than a kitchen specialist. The site shows a Woodlands office and lists phone, email, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram contacts. Households that own a mix of small and large appliances, or a home coffee machine alongside an oven, may find a single provider convenient.

7. Watermaxx

Watermaxx covers the water dispenser end of this topic. Its site describes sales, servicing, rental and repair of drinking water dispensers, boilers and water coolers for homes and workplaces. The company says its technicians can diagnose and repair most dispenser and cooler brands, not just the units it sells, and that it offers a free, no-obligation site visit and quote for repairs. It also says rental customers receive inspections and repairs, with a replacement unit if a fault cannot be fixed on site. The site lists a general hotline, a separate technical enquiries line, and a company email, and shows an industrial-estate office in Ang Mo Kio. It states that payment is accepted once the job is completed to the customer's satisfaction.

8. Pure Water Dispensers

Pure Water Dispensers is a supplier of pipe-in hot and cold water dispensers, filtration systems and office water equipment, and its site says its after-sales support covers maintenance and repair of third-party dispensers, boilers and coolers as well as its own. A frequently asked question on the site addresses whether it can maintain other brands' equipment, which is the point most relevant to someone with an ageing dispenser. The company says it was established in 2016 and lists certifications such as ISO 9001 and bizSAFE on its pages. Its focus leans towards offices and food and beverage clients, with a separate residential brand linked from the footer. Contact is through a quote request form, WhatsApp and social channels, and the office is in Kaki Bukit.

How to choose

  • Match the provider to the appliance before you phone. A cooker hood, a gas hob and a built-in oven each draw on different skills, and some services concentrate on one of them. Check the provider's own pages for the specific appliance and for your brand rather than assuming a general repair label covers everything.
  • Ask whether gas work is involved and who is licensed to do it. Gas hobs, gas ovens and some stoves involve regulated work in Singapore, and several providers on this list say their technicians hold relevant licences. Treat that as a claim to ask about, and request the details when you book the visit.
  • Clarify the fee structure before anyone arrives. Several services charge a transport, checking or call-out fee that is separate from the repair itself, and some add a weekend surcharge. Ask what the first visit covers, whether it is deducted if you proceed, and how quotes for parts are given.
  • Read the warranty wording carefully. Providers describe repair warranties in different ways, and some separate labour from replaced parts or vary the cover by type of job. Ask for the terms in writing, find out what voids them, and check whether a second fault on the same appliance is included.
  • Weigh repair against replacement, especially for older or low-cost appliances. A reputable technician should be able to tell you honestly when parts are hard to source or the repair is not worthwhile. Ask for a clear diagnosis first, and keep any under-warranty appliance with its original brand service channel.
