Fire alarms and sprinklers are not products you pick up from a shelf. They are designed, installed, tested and then maintained by contractors, often for years. This guide covers seven Singapore companies whose own websites describe fire alarm, sprinkler or wider fire protection installation and servicing work. Some focus on new builds and main contractors, others on maintenance contracts and building owners, and one is an equipment specialist that also installs. Every entry rests on what the company publishes about itself, and any approvals or registrations are attributed to the company rather than endorsed by us. No prices are quoted. Use the list to shortlist two or three firms and request quotes.

1. Cinvi Fire Protection

Cinvi Fire Protection describes itself as a fire protection contractor working since 2006 on commercial, institutional and industrial developments in Singapore. Its homepage calls the company a specialist in fire alarm and sprinkler systems, and its service list covers sprinkler and hydrant systems, fire pumps, testing and commissioning, fault diagnosis and BIM coordination. The site says the team works closely with developers, consultants and main contractors, from early coordination through to final commissioning, which suggests a project and construction focus rather than household work. Cinvi states that it is a BCA registered contractor and cites an ME06 L4 category, and it says it aligns with SCDF fire code requirements. These are the company's own statements, so ask what paperwork supports them.

2. AIM Fire Systems & Engineering

AIM Fire Systems & Engineering says it was established in 2006 and began as an addition and alteration contractor specialising in fire protection. Its site describes work across sprinkler systems, addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, gas and water mist suppression, kitchen hood suppression, hosereels, risers and hydrants, plus maintenance contracts and a 24-hour emergency line. It lists several fire alarm brands it installs, and describes handling drawings and submissions as well as testing and commissioning. AIM also says it services portable extinguishers. The company describes itself as SCDF-licensed, BCA registered and bizSAFE Star, and lists ISO certifications on its page; treat these as its own claims and ask to see them. A free site assessment request form is available on the site.

3. Sprinkler Fire Systems

Sprinkler Fire Systems says it is part of the Sprinkler Engineering Group and began operating in 1976. Its about page states that it designs, supplies, installs and maintains all types of fire protection systems, and that its engineers have attended specialist training in sprinkler, fire alarm and special hazard system design. The page lists registrations the company claims, including ISO 9001, a TUV SUD PSB registration for servicing fire extinguishers, NFPA membership, bizSAFE level 3 and a listing under Singapore's trade subcontractor scheme for fire protection works. These come from the company itself, so ask for evidence of any that matter to your project. The site publishes sales and admin email addresses and an office in the Ang Mo Kio industrial area.

4. IVAKAA Engineering

IVAKAA Engineering describes itself as a company founded in 2014 that provides design, supply and installation of mechanical and electrical services for commercial, residential, healthcare, hotel, retail, school and industrial sites. Its fire protection page lists sprinkler systems, hose reel systems, dry and wet risers, hydrant systems, suppression systems, fire alarm and detection systems and fire fighting equipment, alongside a maintenance service. Because the firm also covers electrical and extra-low-voltage work such as building management and access control, it may suit buyers who want one contractor for several building systems. The contact page publishes separate sales, tender, maintenance and admin mailboxes, office hours and a Tuas address. The site shows certification logos without spelling them out, so ask the company what each one covers.

5. King Fire

King Fire says it was founded in 2019 and presents itself as a home-grown fire protection specialist. Its homepage splits the business into supply, system integration and installation, and maintenance and compliance. Supply covers kitchen hood suppression, gas detection, gas suppression and addressable fire alarm systems. Installation is described as design, implementation and SCDF submission, while maintenance lists servicing, fire certification inspection and fire safety manager support. A frequently-asked-questions section adds that it handles fire alarms, fire sprinklers, gas suppression and related systems for commercial and industrial buildings. The site displays awards and accreditation badges without detail, and the company says it works to applicable standards, so ask it directly which approvals apply to your job. Enquiries go through an online form.

6. Drako Fire Engineering

Drako Fire Engineering is a fire protection company based in a Ubi industrial estate. Its homepage lists fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants, fire pumps, kitchen suppression, extinguishers and FM200 and Inergen gas systems, alongside servicing and maintenance, sprinkler addition and alteration work, fire safety manager services and fire certificate renewal. The company says it serves residential, commercial and industrial properties and offers a no-obligation consultation. It also states that its inspections and maintenance follow local regulations, which is its own wording rather than a documented approval, so ask what it covers. The site runs a regularly updated blog on alarm installation and fire equipment, and publishes an enquiry email, a phone number and a contact form.

7. Firetronics

Firetronics describes itself as an integrated fire protection provider serving government and private clients, with a head office, showroom and workshop in the Woodlands area. Its homepage lists addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, NN100 and other gas suppression, kitchen hood suppression and fire extinguishers, supported by risk analysis, system design, installation, training and maintenance. It says it is the sole Singapore distributor for Nohmi Bosai, a Japanese fire protection manufacturer,. The site does not emphasise sprinkler work, so it suits buyers who mainly need alarm, detection and suppression equipment installed and maintained; check sprinklers separately. Its FAQ covers data centre protection and consultations, and its contact page lists an enquiry mailbox and weekday hours.

How to choose

  • Match the contractor to the job. A new build, a tenant fit-out, a maintenance takeover and an emergency repair are different work. Check each company's pages for the system you need, whether alarm, sprinkler, suppression or hydrant, rather than assuming a general fire protection label covers all of them.
  • Ask what approvals the contractor holds and for which work. Several companies here publish registrations, safety certifications or quality standards on their sites, but these are their own statements. Request the documents, confirm the category matches your project, and ask who handles drawings and submissions.
  • Clarify scope before you compare quotes. Ask what is included in design, installation, testing and commissioning, whether maintenance is a separate contract, and how defects found at inspection are handled. A like-for-like scope matters more than the headline figure when you collect two or three quotations.
  • Find out how breakdowns are handled. Ask whether there is an emergency line, who answers it, how quickly the company says technicians can attend, and whether it will take over servicing of systems another firm installed. Request this in writing so expectations are clear before a fault occurs.
  • Check equipment and brand support. Some firms install specific alarm panels or suppression products and may be tied to those brands for parts and programming. Ask which makes they handle, how long spares are usually available, and whether you can switch maintenance providers later without replacing the whole system.
