AI image by LocalRankData engineering is the plumbing behind every dashboard and AI project: it moves data out of accounting packages, CRMs, point-of-sale systems and apps, cleans it, and stores it in a warehouse or lakehouse that analysts can trust. Singapore firms hiring for this work usually choose between a cloud partner, a platform-specific specialist and a regional analytics group. This list covers six providers that describe data pipelines, warehouses, lakehouses or MLOps on their own sites. Every entry rests on what the firm publishes, so treat partner tiers, certifications and awards as claims to check. Shortlist two or three, describe your data sources, and ask each to propose a small first phase.
1. PleoData
PleoData Pte Ltd says on its website that it builds data engineering and analytics platforms, with services covering pipeline integration, an Azure data warehouse or Databricks lakehouse, Microsoft Fabric implementation, and machine learning and MLOps work. Its pages name Azure Data Factory, OneLake, Purview and Power BI among the tools it uses, and list manufacturing, facilities management, data centres, telecoms and retail among its sectors. The firm also lists ISO 27001 and DPTM certification and describes itself as a Gebiz-approved government supplier, which buyers can confirm through the relevant registers. Its contact page gives an address in Ang Mo Kio. Ask how support works after go-live, and whether it will start with one data source before committing to a full build.

2. Cloud Kinetics
Cloud Kinetics describes its data and analytics practice in five parts: data applications, data foundation, data sourcing, data management and data governance. Under those headings its site lists cloud data lakes, lakehouses and warehouses, ETL and ELT pipeline engineering, cataloguing, data quality, master data management and DataOps. It names AWS, Azure and Google Cloud alongside Snowflake and Databricks as platform partners, and mentions SageMaker and Vertex AI for machine learning. The company claims more than 400 customers worldwide, so it reads as a regional services group rather than a boutique. A mid-size firm should confirm how big the Singapore delivery team is. Ask for a reference from a data platform project rather than a migration case study.
3. 1CloudHub
1CloudHub Pte Ltd mainly presents itself as an AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud consulting partner, and its contact page describes the Singapore office as its head office. Its Data and AI Services page covers modern data lakes, ingestion and transformation pipelines, governance controls, data warehousing, and an MLOps strand that includes model lifecycle management and monitoring. It outlines a staged method running from assessment and strategy through proof of concept to implementation and scale. The site states AWS Advanced Tier status and a Migration and Modernization Consulting Competency, which can be checked in AWS partner listings. Because data work sits inside a wider cloud business, ask who would staff your project and whether they have built on your chosen platform.

4. SIFT Analytics Group
SIFT Analytics Group's Snowflake page describes data engineering as building reliable data pipelines, alongside platform implementation, migration advice and AI model deployment. Elsewhere its site pairs Talend with data management, Denodo with data virtualisation, Qlik with integration and cataloguing, and DataRobot with machine learning, so its approach leans on partner software rather than hand-written code. It lists offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, and its contact page places the Singapore office at Parkview Square. Awards quoted on its homepage are its own claims. This mix suits firms that already use, or are open to, those vendors. If you prefer an open-source stack, ask whether the team is comfortable building one, and request a reference.

5. Sciente
Sciente Consulting describes a data engineering and intelligence practice covering data pipelines and ETL, lakehouse architecture, data migration, advanced analytics and AI, and MLOps and DataOps. Its site names Databricks as the primary platform partner, with Snowflake, AWS, Dataiku and Denodo also listed as partners. The headquarters is listed at Changi Business Park, and its marketing centres on banking, financial services and insurance alongside commercial sectors, so smaller firms should check that the team will scope a modest project. Sciente also runs technology staffing, so clarify whether a proposal is for a delivered platform or for engineers placed inside your own team, and who owns the code and documentation at handover, ideally in writing.

6. SBI (formerly Solution BI)
SBI, the group formerly known as Solution BI, lists Singapore as its Asia-Pacific regional headquarters. Its data page describes modern platforms built on Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric and AWS, with data flows automated through tools such as dbt and Fivetran, plus governance work across the data lifecycle. The firm calls itself a preferred partner of Snowflake and Microsoft, and its APAC page says over 95 per cent of regional consultants hold certifications in leading data platforms, a figure we have not verified. It also offers AI and enterprise performance management services. Expect a stack-centred, platform-scale approach, and ask about minimum engagement size, which Singapore-based staff would run your project, and how code and documentation are handed over.
How to choose
- List your data sources first: accounting software, CRM, point-of-sale, spreadsheets, web analytics and any APIs. A competent data engineering firm starts by mapping sources, volumes and refresh needs before naming a platform. If the first call is all product names, ask them to describe a pipeline they built for a business with similar systems.
- Match the platform to what your team can run later. Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery and Redshift each carry different skills and running costs. Ask which one the firm recommends for your case and why, what the monthly cloud bill typically depends on, and how easily you could move away from it.
- Separate building from running. Some firms deliver a platform and leave, while others offer managed operations, monitoring and incident response. Ask who gets alerted when a nightly load fails, what documentation and access you receive at handover, and whether your own staff or a new vendor could take over the code.
- Ask how data quality and security are handled. Good answers cover testing of pipelines, lineage, access controls and handling of personal data under Singapore's PDPA. Request a description of how a failed load or a wrong number is caught, and where your data is stored, before agreeing to any scope.
- Start small and keep MLOps for later. Most SMEs get more value from one reliable pipeline feeding one trusted report than from a full lakehouse. Ask each shortlisted firm to propose a limited first phase with clear deliverables, then decide on model deployment and monitoring once the data foundation proves stable.
