AI image by LocalRankCutting and coring are not the same as hacking. Instead of breaking concrete out, a contractor saws or drills it in controlled sections, which is how doors are widened, slabs opened for lifts and pipes passed through floors. This guide lists six Singapore companies whose own websites describe concrete cutting or coring, with a short note on what each says it offers. We have not tested their work, so read each blurb as the firm's own description. For a plain wall or tile removal job, see our demolition and hacking guide instead. Send drawings or photos of the element to be cut when you ask for a quote.
1. Modern Concrete Drill Cut (Singapore)
Modern Concrete Drill Cut (Singapore) Pte Ltd describes itself as a team of demolition, concrete coring and saw cutting experts and says it began operating in Singapore in 2009. Its site lists robot crushing, robot hacking, blade saw cutting, wire saw cutting, and splitting and bursting, which points to work where a slab, wall or column is removed in controlled sections rather than broken out wholesale. The website shows a 2026 copyright line, a contact page with a general enquiry email, a phone line and a WhatsApp link. It operates from the Ubi industrial area. When you ask for a quote, ask which of its listed methods it would propose for your opening and how it plans to handle water and debris from the cutting.
2. Demolition Singapore
Demolition Singapore runs a dedicated concrete cutting page covering slab cutting, wall cutting, core drilling, door and window opening creation, reinforced concrete cutting and service penetration cutting for mechanical and electrical openings. It names wall saws, floor saws and core drilling machines as its equipment, and lists lift shaft and staircase openings, factory and commercial renovations and knock-out panels as typical applications. The page says beam cutting is subject to approval and that a method statement and risk assessment may be needed depending on scope. Quotes are requested by sending drawings or photos through WhatsApp, and the site says it replies quickly. It also offers wider demolition, which helps when cutting and removal come together. The site carries a 2026 notice.

3. NC Contractor
NC Contractor Pte Ltd is mainly a lift and escalator builder's works firm, and its website files structural opening and coring works under complementary services. That page says it carries out coring or opening work in concrete slabs, walls and beams, and it lists concrete scanning and rebar mapping as a related service. Typical openings it names are floor slabs, walls and ceilings for mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, plus new lift door openings and other access points. The site lists a Tuas address, an office line, a sales line and a sales email, and shows a 2026 copyright notice. It suits building owners and contractors whose openings sit alongside lift, escalator or structural works. Describe the scope through its sales contacts or quote page.
4. Multibase Holdings
Multibase Holdings Pte Ltd, through its construction arm, lists Controlled Demolition (Diamond Coring and Cutting) among seven services it says it specialises in, alongside concrete repair and structural strengthening, epoxy grouting, micropiling, slope stabilisation and sprayed concrete. The service page itself is short and leads with project photos rather than a method list, so ask the firm which cutting techniques it would use and what thicknesses it handles. Because it also lists repair and strengthening work, it may be worth asking how a cut opening would be treated afterwards. The company shows a Kaki Bukit industrial address, a phone line and a general enquiry email, and its site carries a 2026 copyright notice.

5. Beng Siew Construction
Beng Siew Construction Pte Ltd offers total demolition, controlled demolition, waste management, and earthworks and reinstatement, and its controlled demolition page includes a section on concrete coring and wire cutting. The page says coring uses a diamond-tipped drill to remove a cylinder of concrete, and that wire cutting uses a steel wire set with diamond segments for large sections or heavily reinforced members. It also describes robotic demolition for confined spaces and says each controlled demolition job needs its own planning. The company lists a Tuas address, a phone line and a general enquiry email, with a 2026 copyright line. It reads as a larger demolition contractor, so it is best suited to commercial, industrial or redevelopment scopes. Ask whether smaller coring jobs suit it.
6. Prime Hackers
Prime Hackers is a hacking and reinstatement contractor that also publishes a separate Coring Works page. It says it uses diamond core bits to make holes through concrete, brick and masonry for piping, electrical conduits and air-conditioning lines, and that it takes on single holes as well as multiple cores for a larger installation. The page also says the team checks for embedded services such as pipes, cables and rebar before drilling, and describes coring as quieter than hacking. Its footer lists a Yishun industrial address, an enquiry email and a phone number, and shows a 2026 notice. It is a practical first call for homeowners and small contractors. The firm also appears on our demolition and hacking guide, which answers a different question.
How to choose
- Match the method to the job. Coring makes round holes for pipes and conduits, wall and floor saws make straight-edged openings, and wire saws are generally used for thick or heavily reinforced sections. Ask each firm which of these it lists on its own site and which it would propose for your opening and why.
- Ask what happens before the cut. Reputable contractors usually want drawings or photos, and may scan for rebar, pipes and cables first. Ask whether scanning is part of the service or a separate item, and who is responsible if something unexpected is found behind the surface.
- Be clear about approvals and paperwork. Some openings, especially in structural elements, can need an engineer's input or permission from the building owner or management. Ask what approvals the company holds for the work, request the paperwork in writing, and confirm requirements with the relevant body yourself.
- Find out how the site is protected. Cutting and coring produce slurry, dust, noise and heavy offcuts. Ask how water is contained, how debris is removed, whether lift and corridor protection is included, and what working hours the firm proposes for occupied homes, offices or shopping centres.
- Compare quotes like for like. Ask each firm to state the number and size of openings, the thickness and reinforcement assumed, what is included for removal and making good, and what could change the figure on site. A quote that lists these items is easier to compare and challenge later.
