AutoCAD and Revit sit behind most drawing sets, floor plans and building models produced in Singapore, and both are taught through short courses you can take alongside work. The seven providers below run classroom programmes in 2D and 3D drafting, Revit modelling or BIM coordination, from polytechnic evening classes to private training schools. Each write-up follows what the provider publishes on its own course pages, so confirm dates, funding eligibility and software versions with the provider before you enrol. Start by deciding whether you need general drafting skills, architectural Revit, or building-services BIM, then match that to the course scope, hours and entry requirements described here.

1. Singapore Polytechnic (PACE Academy)

Singapore Polytechnic's continuing-education arm, PACE, lists both AutoCAD and Revit short courses for working adults. Its AutoCAD Basics (2D and 3D) page describes a 36-hour evening classroom course covering the workspace, drawing and editing tools, blocks, layers, layouts for plotting, hatching, dimensions, and 3D solid modelling and rendering, assessed by a practical test. A separate Revit MEP Modelling course, listed as a 40-hour evening class, covers building-services modelling, customising MEP elements, scheduling and basic interference checks. The pages state that trainers are Autodesk Certified Professionals, and show intake dates running into late 2026. Check the course pages for the current software version, registration windows, funding eligibility and any prerequisites before booking a seat.

2. Ngee Ann Polytechnic CET Academy

Ngee Ann Polytechnic's CET Academy lists building information modelling inside its adult-learner programmes. Its BIM (MEP) module, which sits within a Modular Certificate in Building Design and Management, is described as a 60-hour module that uses BIM software to develop mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems from existing architectural models. The course page says students learn to coordinate MEP, architecture and structure through clash detection, and that as-built models and energy-modelling tools are discussed. The page also publishes academic entry requirements, so it suits learners who already work in or near the built environment. A second listing, on BIM workflow processes with CORENET X, appears in the same course search. Dates were marked to be confirmed when checked, so ask the academy for the next intake.

3. BCA Academy

BCA Academy, the training arm of the Building and Construction Authority, publishes a Certification Course in BIM Modelling with an architecture track. Its course page describes four days of classes at its Braddell campus, led by built-environment practitioners, with interactive self-learning. Topics listed include BIM fundamentals and the tool interface, mass and site modelling, building elements, project documentation, the e-submission project template, worksets and worksharing, and Model Content Requirements. The page says applicants should have CAD drafting or modelling experience in building and construction, and that completion needs at least 75 per cent attendance plus a passing project assignment. It names no software, so ask the academy which application is used. It also lists a specialist diploma in BIM for people who already model independently.

4. NTUC LearningHub

NTUC LearningHub lists a beginner-level Certified AutoCAD Drawing Professional course on its own site. The page describes physical classroom delivery in English, 40 training hours, a trainer-to-trainee ratio of one to twenty, and a written assessment plus a practical exam. It says the course introduces 2D and 3D technical drawing, drafting standards and symbols, submission requirements, part lists and links between drawings and prototyping, and that learners can use the classroom software for two weeks afterwards, weekdays only and subject to availability. The page lists draftspeople, early-career architectural and engineering staff, renovation professionals and interior designers as suitable audiences, and states literacy and numeracy prerequisites. Venues and intakes change, so confirm them on the course page.

5. St.Hua Private School

St.Hua Private School calls itself an Autodesk Authorized Training Center and runs a wider Autodesk catalogue than most schools here. Its AutoCAD page describes two 30-hour levels, one for 2D drawing, editing, layers, text, dimensions and plotting, and one for 3D work including solid modelling, rendering and paper space, with a part-time schedule available on request. A separate BIM with Revit Architecture page lists a 15-hour, two-day course with fourteen modules from the Revit environment through walls, stairs, rooms, schedules, families and sheet publishing, and the school also lists Revit Structure and MEP courses. The site states a private-education registration number and says funding may apply to eligible learners, so confirm eligibility directly with the school.

6. Tertiary Infotech Academy

Tertiary Infotech Academy is a private training school that lists several AutoCAD and Revit programmes in one catalogue. Its Technical Drawing with AutoCAD course is described as a two-day, 16-hour beginner class, with a written and practical assessment, covering the interface, drawing and modifying objects, part lists, layouts and printing, and reusable content. A companion Architecture Drawing with Revit course covers topography, masses, walls, roofs, stairs, rooms, area plans, families and sheets over two days. The pages say delivery can be in the classroom, over Zoom or at a company site, and that Revit runs only on Windows, so learners should bring a laptop or ask about a loan unit. Other listed courses include AutoCAD Mechanical, Electrical and Civil 3D.

7. Eversafe Academy

Eversafe Academy is better known for safety and engineering training, but its course catalogue includes an AutoCAD Essentials course aimed at entry-level learners such as junior draftsmen and technical assistants. The course page describes 22 training hours plus two assessment hours, delivered in English in a classroom, with live demonstrations, step-by-step exercises and a project. It lists topics from workspace setup and drawing fundamentals through editing tools, layers and blocks, text styles and multileaders, dimensions and constraints, basic 3D extrusion and revolving, and layout viewports with PDF plotting. The page publishes a small class size and a practical test plus individual project assessment. Eversafe has several training sites, so check which one hosts your intake.

How to choose

  • Decide first whether you need plain AutoCAD drafting or Revit and BIM modelling. AutoCAD courses here concentrate on 2D drawings with some 3D, while Revit and BIM courses build intelligent building models, so pick the tool your employer, tender documents or drawing workflow actually requires.
  • Compare hours and pacing against your schedule. The providers publish evening courses spread across weeks, intensive two-day classes and four-day blocks, and the learning pace differs. Check the course page for contact hours, assessment format and whether you must attend every session to receive a certificate.
  • Read the entry requirements honestly. Some courses assume CAD drafting or building-industry experience, others state literacy and numeracy prerequisites, and a few are open to complete beginners. Choosing a programme above your current level wastes fees, while one far below it will not move your skills forward.
  • Confirm the software version and licence arrangements. Course pages may name a specific AutoCAD or Revit release, and some say learners use classroom machines while others expect you to bring a Windows laptop. Ask whether practice access continues after class and whether your office software matches what is taught.
  • Ask about funding, intake dates and what you receive afterwards. Several providers mention SkillsFuture or similar schemes, but eligibility depends on you and changes over time. Ask the provider for current dates, a written fee breakdown, and exactly what certificate or statement is issued, stated in its own words.
